In acceptable condition, has obvious signs of wear and aging, first blank page has writing on it, and the first few pages befoe the title page were taped to keep them bound, the rest of the pages are in good condition, a minor age stain on some of the pages, and all are bound nicely together, no loose pages after the first few that were taped, still a very nice readable book, Do not know the year, theres a Preface from William Adams and its dated 1864, don't know if thats a published date or not, but its the only date available
